It runs during term-time on Mondays from 9.30am to 11.30am in a large light and airy purpose built room and outdoor area next to the Byron Bay Preschool which also operates from this centre and there is ample free parking available.

It comprises an enclosed, safe outdoor area that has a large covered play area with built in sandpit. There are open grassy areas too and an easily accessible outdoor storage shed  full of various indoor and outdoor toys for children to enjoy.

Inside there  is a gorgeous children’s timber kitchen and plenty of children’s tables and seating for craft activities and morning tea. There is a reading corner and a purpose built bathroom with child-height toilets and change area.

There are no joining fees and you can attend when it suits you. The playgroup charges a gold coin session fee to cover the costs of running the group, rent, craft items, morning tea and/or replacement of toys.

Playgroup is a fun way for you and your child/ren to meet others and provides a variety of play and social experiences for your little ones  to enjoy and learn in a safe, relaxed environment.
