Missingham Park - Ballina
- Large roof-covered playground
- Climbing frame with flying fox and spinning wheel
- Liberty Swing for children in wheelchairs
- Stroller-friendly beachfront walkway
- Skatepark close by
Accessed either via a wide, stroller and cycle friendly beachfront pathway dotted with picnic tables and barbecues on the grassy verges or via the ample carpark; this park is a popular spot.
However, it’s main attraction has to be that it showcases a large covered playground – not only as shade from the sun, but also protection from the rain. It boasts a curved vented roof which means that you can bring your kids here on rainy days for a run about and a spot of fun on one of the many playground equipment activities – including flying fox, spinning wheel, various rockers and swings. It is even home to a Liberty Swing – a revolutionary design in play equipment for people with disabilities which allow children in wheelchairs the opportunity to enjoy the fun too. An open grassy stretch leads to the ampitheatre which also houses the amenities block and on the other side of this with a fantastic river view is Ballina Skatepark.
