General Information

Established as a community based ‘not for profit’ organisation the Brunswick Valley Woodchop & Entertainment Committee Inc. hosts the Festival Fish ‘n’ Chips each year as a lead up to their Woodchop Carnival which draws international contestants from New Zealand, the US and Canada.

The Brunswick Woodchop Carnival is currently regarded as the biggest woodchopping event outside the Sydney and Brisbane shows.

The Festival commences (weather permitting) at 9m on Saturday 12 January with a mega fireworks display setup from Banner park across the river and viewed by the thousands who gather along the waterfront.

The 57th Annual the Woodchop Carnival will run from Wednesday 16 January to Saturday 19 January with over 30 different events to participate in!

This is a family friendly event and includes competitions for men,  women, junior boys and girls.

There is no admission cost to the carnival and everyone is welcome to come along to watch the events.
