General Information

Located within the parkland on the foreshore at the southern side of Byron Bay Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC) on Lawson Street, Denning Park contains a small climbing frame with swings.  Complete with picnic tables, barbecues and beach access, it is a quiet little park, away from the hustle and bustle of nearby beachfront Apex Park. Plenty of room to spread out a picnic blanket and sit under the shade of the trees or make use of nearby barbecue facilities and picnic tables. Children also enjoy climbing and sitting on and under the nearby Cottonwood tree.

A short walk along the Lawson Street or the foreshore footpath will reveal a number of eateries from dine-in to take away. The public toilets used to be located directly under the SLSC but new automatic ones are located just to the north – between SLSC and Apex Park.

The Byron Bay Beachside ‘Make it, Bake it, Grow it’ Markets are held here three times a year in early January, Easter and late September and over 200 stalls run all the way along the foreshore up to Clarkes Beach.
