For three days in early August (3-5 August 2018) Byron Bay Writers Festival, Australia’s largest regional literary event, will deliver a stimulating program featuring celebrated international and Australian authors, thinkers and innovators. ‘

Kids Big Day Out on Festival Sunday offers a jam-packed, fun-filled program for the whole family with a huge array of activities for kids of all ages including the chance to meet their literary heroes. On hand to spark their imaginations will be Hilary Badger, Tristan Bancks, Morris Gleitzman, Peter Helliar, Lucas Proudfoot, Sally Rippin, and Richard Roxburgh.
Headphones are available to enable adults to listen to other sessions happening at the festival on Sunday if they wish.

How to get to the Festival
The Festival operates a regular shuttle bus service from Byron Bay to the Festival site. The cost is $5 each way. We encourage visitors to use the shuttle service as parking is limited.
There are three pick up points within the town centre. A bus route map will be available prior to the festival, but pick up points are as follows:
- Shirley Street
- Apartments Inn (Fletcher Street)
- The Atlantic (Marvel Street)
- Byron Bay Bus Terminal (Jonson Street, outside the visitor’s centre)
- Byron at Byron Resort (77-97 Broken Head Road)
Elements of Byron is located at the end of Bayshore Drive in the Arts & Industrial Estate, approximately an 8 minute drive from the centre of Byron Bay. Car parking on site is limited. If driving we recommend arriving 45 minutes before Festival entry.
There will be a $5 daily charge for parking on site.
